Puppy time

Everything that your puppy experiences before he is old enough for you to take him home affects how he will fit into your family. Pick your puppy's first caretaker as carefully as you pick your puppy. Avoid pet store/puppy mill puppies!

Breeding Conformation

It is very Heartfelt we confirm our breeding with Quera x CastleGaurd Teal'c. For us it is an honor CastleGaurd worked with us on this Breeding. Reproductive CH Teal'c crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday at the age of 11.   We offer our deepest sympathy to CastleGaurd. Teal'c was a Reproductive Champion and pinnacle in the pedigrees of many dogs and will be in many dogs to come. He has left footprints on our hearts and will live on in the pedigrees he so greatly influenced. Puppies expected March 10, 2013.  For more pictures of teal'c visit https://www.facebook.com/shauna.demoss?ref=ts&fref=ts#!/media/set/?set=a.10151475372691605.540069.698851604&type=1

Jhon Made the Newspaper

Look Jhon made the newspaper ;)

By Malcolm Hall

For a few minutes, Jhon Cane literally was the big guy on campus, as Walsh University students put down text books to meet his acquaintance.
Jhon Cane, who is a Cane Corso Italian mastiff weighing about 150 pounds, was among three therapy dogs who dropped by Walsh University’s Brother Edmond Drouin Library on Wednesday to provide some levity for students preparing for final exams.
The other Cane Corso was Quera, a female.
“They are both certified therapy dogs,” said Terrie Dragan of WAGS Canine Training of Hartville, who brought the dogs. “That is why we are here so they (students) can take a break from their studying.”
A third dog visitor was a female bulldog named Peanut. Peanut also was the center of attention of students such as Casey Quinn.
“I enjoy this actually,” Quinn, a senior, said. “Finals (week) is a stressful process. It definitely helps. It is better than just looking at your books and studying. It makes you look forward to studying.”
The idea to invite the dogs to campus came from the University Wellness program.
“Research studies have shown that pet therapy helps with clearing the mind,” Megan Allen, director of University Wellness for Walsh University, said. “It helps with the whole human emotional stability. It calms and collects you during these stressful times.”
While the dogs visited, there were about 20 to 25 students preparing for their tests. Among them was freshman Elena Deighan.
“It made me happy, it made me smile,” said Deighan, who wants to be a veterinarian. “I am really happy they came.”
